I'm using C++ Builder ver 5.0 with the patch...
In the area of "Latest News", the news message is "10/30/00 - Kylix Watch:
Impressions from......"

Wasn't there a way to remove all of the news entries and reset Direct?
Wasn't there more news messages since 10/30/00?

Just turn it off. It seems they have abandoned it anyway.

Damn that sucks...  I liked the feature... Since I'm still developing my
C++/C++ Builder skills, having news come to ME every few days or so, kept me
plugged into the industry... and Borland.  Did they publicly state (on their
website somewhere) that they were abandoning it?

Borland hasn't abandoned it.  Unfortunately it is maintained by the Dev Rel guys
and they have been traveling a lot over the past 3-6 months.  It is something
that has been neglected because of them not being in town much.

The correct way to punctuate a sentence that starts: "Of course it is
none of my business but ~" is to place a period after the word "but".
Don't use excessive force in supplying such a moron with a period.

I had the same problem, even the same dates, but when I deleted and
reinstalled C++Builder today, the message list was updated! Let's hope that
it will find new messages in the future...
