Why such high compile times?

i don't understand: vc seems to be much faster at compiling than borland
is... i find this quit anoying to say the least

Roy,

Firstly make sure you have background compilation turned off.

If you then make use of precompiled headers you will reduce compilation
times to below that of VC. One process that always takes longer however
is linking.
