BorlandC++ + InstallSheild ?

Firstly, as an aside, the following is /was a forum site which I found very
helpful during the development of my current project. The site host said
several months ago that for various reasons he was going to close the site
and negotiations were underway to transfer the hosting to another site. It
apparently has happened, without me managing to get the new address. If
anyone should know where its now being hosted I would appreciate a post.
I have created an application using Borland C++ Builder Enterprise 6
The program is small and fairly simple, it uses some standard VCL components
and avoids using BDE by using MyBase.
I started the project by creating a project folder and proceeded to develop
the application without having to change any of the default project
The application is finished. I can compile using static or dynamic binding
and produce an executable, which runs perfectly.
Obviously I need to be able to distribute the application to other machines.
To do this I'm using InstallShield Express 5. Again I follow the simple
wizard instructions and prompts having created a project folder. I kept
selection complexity down to a minimum, keeping it as simple as possible. It
compiles into a single image set-up file. I transfer the set-up to a new
machine and execute it. Installs with no problems.
However no matter what combination of programme files I start with -
statically bound or dynamically and including all the suggested dependant
files made by the install shield wizard and even, manually confirming that
the dependant files, as placed on the original machine, exist in place on
the new one, I get the following message when trying to run the newly
'Cannot find the specified file. Make sure the path and the filename are
Now I know you cant give a specific answer to a general problem description
like the one above, but if you can think of things that I might have
overlooked or need to look at that might be causing this outcome, I would
very much appreciate your responses. I just seem to be going around in
I suspect it might be something to do with how I've set up / or not set up
the original Developer project paths -but I'm not sure and as a personal
skill understanding how the windows system works regarding paths etc is not
one of my strong points.
Please bear in mind I'm not overly technical in your replies, thankyou :)
