SQL create Paradox table with Blob-field under BDE 4.51: wrong size

When executing an SQL-query to create Paradox tables we encountered the
following bug in the BDE 4.51:

create table "c:\test.db"
(
test_field BLOB(0,2)
)

This should create test_field as a binary field with a size (in the .DB)
of 0, but instead it creates it with a size of 1! BDE versions 4.0x
created it with a size 0. Why?

We have TBlobFields in our dataform with a Size-property of 0 of course,
and on some machines the associations from the TBlobFields with the
phycical fields fail!

Any help appreciated.
