Server side cursors in MS SQL 6.5

Hi,

does anybody know how to force the BDE to use
server side cursors for TQueries with MS SQL 6.5.
Otherwise we have the problem to need to many
open connections to the database for multiple large active queries.
Any other suggestion to solve this problem (eg. use ODBC)?
