TURNING OFF THE MONITOR (Compaq, Notebook)
I am trying to write a simple software for my Compaq notebook, which turns off
the monitor (screen) immediately. The monitor should stay OFF until another call from my software sets it back ON. That is, at the DOS prompt you write SCREEN OFF and the monitor goes off. Later on, when you want to, you write SCREEN ON and the monitor goes back on. While it is off, the computer should work "normal" (keyboard, hard drive, diskette drive, etc).
