Using DelphiX components for mulitplayer games?


I'm currently programming a 2D multiplayer game for LAN use (concept:
everybody shooting each other whilst dodging asteroids).  I am utilising the
DelphiX freeware components.

Does anybody have any experience of developing games with these components?
Anybody have success using the DXPlay component as the area of
sending/receiving packets between host and clients is giving me a headache!
