I have a client who needs an experienced Delphi 3 programmer who also has
SQL Server experience for a HR conversion project. The job entails working
with the current outside vendors to convert the separate benefit databases
to the new integrated SQL Server/Delphi 3 enterprise Human Resources system.
The duration of the conversion is unknown at this time but it may last a
couple/several months or longer. There is the potential for a long term
relationship if mutually beneficial and rewarding.
This is 2.5 billion+ company with 10,000+ employees. An excellent
opportunity. Contract to start but who knows. For location, preference will
be given to people in Southern California, San Francisco Bay Area, Western
US (in that order) otherwise you can live anywhere. Some travel would be
necessary but at least some work could be done at your home or office.
Personal traits that are desired: professional demeanor, excellent
communication both verbal and written, meticulous, detailed oriented. Able
to understand HR function, its importance and processes. Team player, able
to deal with all levels of management and staff. Able to hold all
information as confidential. A non-disclosure agreement may be required.
You must be a professional and competent programmer with a minimum of one
year Delphi and SQL server experience preferred. Prior conversion experience
preferred but not mandatory. Two plus years programming experience
preferred. Business experience preferred with HR experience highly valued.
Able to produce detailed conversion plans, conversion and pre-conversion
edit reports.
Please provide:
1.) Resume listing all relevant experience especially any conversion, HR or
Database server experience. Please note if there is anyone listed that you
don't want us to contact!
2.) References of at least three people/companies for which you have done
significant PAID and VERIFIABLE programming work.
3.) Your current contract programming rate(s)
4.) What is the rate you will charge for non-programming travel time both
hourly and daily.
5.) Contact information consisting of Name, Address, Phone and if there is a
best time or other time constraints please list it/them.
6.) Your availability? We would like to start as soon as possible.
7.) Any additional requirement that you might have...
Expenses and fees will ultimately be negotiated directly with my client but
I would expect airfare, hotel and other reasonable and verifiable expenses
accompanied by receipts will be fully reimbursed.
