Trouble Installing Async Pro 3

Have you successfully installed TurboPower Async Pro on Delphi 3 or higher?

I'm getting the message, "Can't load package D:\APRO\A300_D50.bpl. One of
the library files needed to run this application cannot be found."

I got it the first time I started Delphi 5 after installing Apro 3.0; I
answered "no" to the dialog box asking if I wanted to try again the next
time a project was opened.

Since then, I have tried to install the package, but each time I select it
from the list of available packages, the message pops up again.

Yes, my APRO directory is on drive D:.

I have copied the bpl to c:\windows\system. I tried changing the PATH in
AUTOEXEC.BAT (this doesn't seem to take), and copied the bpl file to the
Delphi bin directory. The APRO installation added d:\apro to the D5 library
list.
