Re:TMenuItems - Fonts and Icons

A friend of mine has a Delphi application and he wants to enhance the menu.

The program is written in Delphi 3.0.
One problem he is having is trying to set the fonts on TMenuItems and to add
icons to TMenuItems.

What he would like is a subroutine that he could call as follows:

procedure SetMenuItem(MenuItem: TMenuItem; Text: String; Font: TFont; Icon:
TIcon);

This would put the icon on the tmenuItem and display the text according to
the Font specified.

If you have any ideas please respond to me at
richa...@freewwweb.com

Thank you.

You might want to tell your friend to stop by and post some code.
It's a shortcut.  (Or as they say in the trade, an "optimization").

  One news group please....

But, trust me when I say this (I just finished doing this), it's a helluva
lot harder then a simple API call...  You need to use AppendMenu,
ModifyMenu, TrackPopupMenu, and anything else concerning hmenu...  You have
to use an ownerdrawn menu, which means you have to build everything from
scratch....
