BDE paradox table date Query?

Hi !

I Just testing BDE Paradox table in C++ Builder

----Examples------
String Tmp;

Tmp = "select * from table1 where Orderdate ='" +
StrToDate(FormatDateTime("mm/dd/yyyy",Query1->Fields->Fields[1]->AsString))+
"'";

but this Project compile finished and excute program
the MessageBox return to me

***'10-12-1999' is not a valid date***

What is the BDE system parameters MODE and SEPARATOR set to? Use the BDE
Administrator to see this parameter and its setting. From the Configuration
tab:

Configuration
System
Formats
Date
