installing c++ builder 5 and delphi 5 components

installing c++ builder 5 and delphi 5 components

sometimes when i try to install a c5 or d5 component, i get a message saying
'cannot add vcl50, appevents already added in vcl60' and the component is
not installed. even when i try just to add the 'bpl'. Whats happening?

you need the source code to the components and recompile them.

There must already be a unit called appevents installed through the VCL
package. You can't install two separate units with the same name.
