I'm having problems with auto-incremented tables in SQL Server 6.0

I'm having problems with auto-incremented tables in SQL Server 6.0

BDE Gives this message: "INSERT_IDENTITY set to OFF"

Is it possible to ahve auto_incrementes indexes or do I have to make all
the explicit SQL to do the work?
