Slow connecting to ODBC through BDE

Slow connecting to ODBC through BDE

I am running the BDE on Win95 and when I open a connection to any of my
existing ODBC Data sources, my machine just hits the hard disk for about 2
or 3 minutes before finally giving me a connection.

Then once I have the connection, just scrolling through the records is
painfully slow.

Has anyone else experenced this?

Any help would be appreciated.
