Donald,
QuoteIm buying a new laptop in a few days. Actually i have a AMD Athlon 64 delivery (apparently they need 2 weeks head start), but I have extensively tested a friend's and have been very impressed - can not wait to get mine. -- marc hoffman RemObjects Software The Infrastructure Company www.remobjects.com |

I felt in love with a macbook as well. *g* However, I am not such a big laptop user, so I guess I will stick with a beautifully white, non-Pro 13,3" model. |

Hi Donald,
You might want to post what you are doing with D2007, and approximtely how long it is taking. You may already be as fast as you get. Or, maybe someone can tell you how to speed things up. -- Larry Maturo "Donald Shimoda" <XXXX@XXXXX.COM>writes QuoteArthur Hoornweg writes: |

Quote>I find my computer very slow with Delphi 2007 and i expect solve with new smarter developer? <g> Anyway, Im in general happy with my Delphi 2007 Pro, but the memory leaks are incredible. I just do build and debug and when i see how much memory is using that beast, get 1.2 or 1.3 gb and growing! The only solution is close the ide and start over. Theres reproducible steps to help Codegear developers to solve that? I dont think so... And all that over a clean windows xp (two weeks from installed) and running only Delphi 2007 Outlook and firebird. Best regards. -- Donald Shimoda |

QuoteTheres reproducible steps to help Codegear developers to solve that? I running and have been using it for a day solid, and I am only just over 100K as reported by the TaskManger (a notoriously poor indicator of actual memory usage...) I wonder what the difference between our machines is or what the difference in what we are doing is. Does minimizing and restoring make a difference? Mark Edington has plugged a whole lot of memory leaks over the last year. I am surprised -- Nick Hodges Delphi Product Manager - CodeGear blogs.codegear.com/nickhodges |
