Actually, no, I meant precisely what I said. TeamB means something
specific in relation to these newsgroups. "TeamA" does not. I know that
as someone who has been around these groups for quite a long time it
can be hard to put yourself in the shoes of a brand new user, but
that's the basis behind John Frazier's (he's the newsgroup
administrator at Borland) request.
This request does not come from me, nor Rudy. We are the messengers.

In all fairness, the interview was published on the Java Pro website,
so it is bound to have a Java slant. They also mentioned .NET in there
as well.
I saw it as ftpPro - is that a Java site? It was under the Java section,
though. that is why I added the followup that the article was hardly
JBuilder marketing.

Maybe it was meant to say that a developper is only as good as
it team allows him to be, but then, that is more a management
issue that a tools issue.

Alvaro, stop using that tag now. This request comes directly from the
newsgroup administrator. You can ask him yourself if you don't believe
me.
Sorry but I think I am fully respecting the newsgroup rules. If I'm
wrong, please let me know.

FTP is Fawcette Technical Publications; they have a handful of magazines.

Yes, in their Java Pro magazine.

Yeah, I can agree with that point to some degree. I think they've pretty
much written off JBuilder non-Peleton revenue.

I wonder why. People who are new to the newsgroup will be equally
confused at "TeamB" than at "TeamA". I have read the newsgroup
guidelines and I couldn't find anything that prohibits it.
I must admit I had to laugh when I first saw it, so obvious and still
not seen around here before now.
While Craig is using the word "confusing", I am sure he and Rudy & al
mean "provoking". If you give it a thought, Alvoro, you sure understand
it can be provoking, just think about Plan A vs Plan B, as if TeamB is
secondary to TeamA. If I were you, I'd not use it.

Fine, then I will say it. it is not only "confusing" and "provoking", it is also
immature and childish. I will admit that I have less than a healthy dose of
respect for the way some of the "TeamB" members represent themselves here in
non-tech (Craig certainly excepted), but that doesn't negate their
importance to the tech groups and their much appreciated contributions
there. Attempting to marginalize the entire group because you don't like a
couple of it is members is very unprofessional.

The message *I* get is ALM is all about Java, and Borland's all about ALM.
Whether or not it is the right message, it is the message *I* get.
I am told that in the interview, Scott and Rick talked a lot about Delphi
too. But since this was going to appear in the FTPonline Java area, the
editor cut out all that was not Java. So I wouldn't read anything into
what's not there.
We've approached FTPonline editors to do a Delphi/Windows focused interview
as a follow up.

Would it be a good idea to post the things they said about Delphi on
BDN?

No Scott. Maybe the Delphi development team is only as good as
the management around them! :-)
