i try to install french delphi update patch 2 on different workstation NT4 or W2k, evrytime i have the same message :
'Setup is not able to determinate the product version that was installed...' ?? what should i do ?

Make certain the there is a correct rootdir key in both the

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Borland\Delphi\6.0

and

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Borland\Delphi\6.0

in the registry.  Most common occurance of this is the HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE one
missing the RootDir key.

Hi, I had the same problem, Rootkey etc was allright and it still didn't
work. (The rootkey problem gives normally another errorcode) So I removed
and reinstalled it from the CD, after that I applied the
Patch and ik worked... yes, takes a lot of time..

BTW I, just saw there is still no official French download available. So you
mut be installing the English one, just as I did over my French version.
This works allright it's just that you end up with all the resourestrings in
English (error descriptions etc...). You can't take the files from the
previous version because Borland added some resourcestrings. (sysconst.pas
etc...)

Your error was not a result of applying the English version over the French
version that I checked. I tried to reinstall update 1 when I had this error
with update 2 and the same error occured. Thats why I did a complete
install.
