Full Screen Editor

i was wondering if anyone might know where i can get some or a good idea
on a Full Screen Editor Proceedures for say a type of Dos Text editor,
curser up, down, delete line, being able to scroll up and down through
the message that your creating etc..

any help would be greatfully apprecieated..
