Hi Allan,

What's the story with the version coming with Delphi 2.0.

Is it shareware?
Does it have shareware banners at run-time?
Do you only register it if you want the source code?
Have Borland given you lots of money?

I have been trialling it and it looks excellent, congratulations.

Thanks,
Brett McKenzie

The full 32 bit version of QuickReport is included, no shareware
banner, but no 16 bit version and no source code. You need to
register QuickReport to get 16/32 bit source and 16 bit full version.

Do you really want to know that? ;)

You should in fairness mention that the 16bit version available is
limited to the Delphi development environment only.

I have no objection to this but it is at slight variance from the
shareware concept.

You are partly right. The shareware version of QuickReport will not
*print* when Delphi is not running, all preview functionallity is
working fine, though. I think it's difficult to find a good balance
between shareware functionallity and limitations. Maybe it's more
correct to call it an evaluation version, but then again that's what
shareware is, right?

Allan
