For their own safety perhaps? (and the safety of others on the Field Test)

Emagine the badgering they would get on these and other forums...

"Is it <insert personal bug bear>fixed?"

"it beter have <something>, it does doesn't it? I am basing a
purchase/marriage/farm on this!"

Conversely, one could gain credence for a book/article they've written
if they are able to 'acknowledge' that they were on the FT.
But all of your points are in relation to releasing information about
the field test. Further, I don't need CodeGear to be my nanny to
'protect' me.
The question stands: what harm could a person being present on the field
test cause harm to CodeGear by that person merely acknowledging that
they were on the test?

the only thing I can think of off-hand is it avoids things like "Why
was person X allowed into the FT and I wasn't?".
I am not going to tell anybody that I am not on the field test.
