Re:Some additional publicity i found for "24 hours of delphi"

" To kickoff the broadcast, host David Intersimone, Borland's vice president
of developer relations and chief evangelist along with other Borland
executives will lay out the Delphi roadmap for the next three years."
Someone has probably pointed it out before, but I haven't noticed until just
now.

I hadn't either. Looks very interesting. :)
Too bad it starts 4am here, so no chance of me getting the roadmap
first-hand.

Hi Robert,
I doubt that I will be able to listen to your part live...

Ah, perhaps that explains it. I had noticed an unexplained upward bump in BORL
stock price starting shortly before 2:00pm EDT this afternoon and now I see that
the Borland Press Release is timestamped at 1:00pm EDT.
There was further conformation when I saw blog entry:
www.lemanix.com/nick/archive/2005/07/12/2753.aspx
OTOH it could be just another known market vagary:

That's a bummer..
I'm stuck behind a really, really slow dial-up connection
for the next month or so..no way I could stand the waiting.

So, did you catch it? Was anything interesting mentioned?

Hi Matthias,
actually, I was up but then my provider (1&1) decided to disconnect
everybody and maintain its servers. So I was up, but still couldn't
listen :-(

Oh, I have seen that too late :-) It just a few meters from my workplace to 1&1. Next time I will open the window, take a megaphone and ask them politely to stop their maintanance :-)

Hi Matthias,
thanks. And if you could kindly remind them that there are people out
there who live in places where there simply is no more than 1000 bps
possible. They charge me extra indirectly for that I do not change to a
higher speed... which I can not :-(
