TStringlist to TMemofield

I have
  text :TStringlist   and
  memoF:TMemoField

I have tried to assign text to TMemofield with following ways:

taOts['memoF'].Asstring:=Text;
taOts['memoF'].Assign(Text);
taOts['memoF'].value:=Text;

no success - how I should do it ?

memoF.Value := Text.Text;

(BTW IMO Text is not a good identifier since a large number of components
have a text property.)

(InterBase)
  Query1.FieldByName('memoF').asString:= Memo1.Text;

in your case, I presume:
  taOts['memoF'].asString:= text.Text;

BTW, text is a bad name for a TStringList, isn't it?
