Is there any "quick fix" to the many VCL's that I've downloaded and use in my
programs that now will not load into Delphi 2.0?  I always get the error "can't
compile 16-bit instruction" or something like that.  I've got the source code to
most of them.

Simply open the DCR file in the 2.0 image editor program and re-save it.
I found this fixed the problem in every case for me so far.

This also applies to res files that produce the same error.
