Truly useful components2008-01-04 11:30:08 AM delphi153 In all my years of working with Delphi, I have to say that the best thing that Delphi has to offer is the unending imagination that its users bring to the development community. We have seen the truly useless TSmiley component. But how useless was that? At least, it showed how components can be built. We've seen all sorts of grid enhancements, explorer bars, and endless TButton derivatives. Some might say that Anders hijacked Delphi and the VCL when creating C# for .net. I'm sure that there is still a market available for Delphi components that do things that neither you, I, nor CodeGear have thought of. I am still looking for a component that I'd like to call: TStopTheDogFromDrinkingFromTheToilet I have already tried: TTheresANiceWaterBowl but it didn't work. Should it use a USB interface? RS232? |
