I have installed Delphi 7 on a win2k machine but when I start Delphi the
component palette is empty and there is only tha Standard tab. how can I fix
this?

Did you install under a different user name (different from running)? In
that case use the install CD again to register the components for the
"running user".

Run D7RegClean (located in your Bin directory) then start Delphi. This
usually happens when 3rd party components are installed before starting
Delphi for the first time so registry entries aren't properly created.
