A3 only uses Delphi 2.01 - are you sure that you have 2.01, not 2.00?  I
have installed both A2.5 and A3 (but it wasnt simple to do, and I cant
remember what I did now!)

Re:Install Apollo in C/S 2.01 = Error Previous Version of BDE

There is a single PAS file in the BDE that has to be renamed so that the
Apollo version of that file is used in place of the BDEs (Apollo's file is
compatible with BDE but not the other way around).  Since the BDEs copy is
found first the error is reported.  I can't remember the file that needs
renaming but its in the Apollo README file.

Hope this helps.

(On Apollo 3 ) it isnt in the readme file (Instal32.Txt).
I think that if you follow the instructions, it will never install,
because no-one mentions the file DBREG.PAS - however, when you have
installed it, and crashed it, read the Apollo.Hlp file, look under
        Contents
        Questions and Answers
        Frequently Asked Questions
        Installation Questions
        Installation Troubleshooting
and in particular
Everything seems in order, but you still cannot rebuild the VCL:

You mean to say that you didnt read that =before= you started the
installation???

I've been there!

Try moving the three files that came with delphi, in the DELPHI2.0\LIB dir.
, named: bde.dcu, DbTables.dcu and DBReg.dcu to a backup directory, then
copy the same three files that came with apollo (SDE_ONLY or SDE_BDE) to
the same DELPHI2.0\LIB dir then recompile the complib.dcl and that's it.

That worked for me.

Good luck!
