BDE 5.x Windows XP and Insufficient Disk Space2004-04-09 03:33:02 AM delphi162 Hi-- D6, BDE 5.x and Win XP. My app was running A OK doing all the standard functions of the app with regards to database actions. That was on Win98. I've now seen 2 of my customers with 300Meg or so tables run into "Insufficient Disk Space" when they try and do an edit to an existing record or addition of a new one. It doesn't happen everytime they do a DB function, just some times. It also doesn't seem to depend on how many other apps are open. I know it sounds like there's not enough room on the drive that the PrivateDir is on BUT there is. In both cases there was 20+ Gigs of free space on the PrivateDir drive (which is also the temp file drive). So, the error message is not occuring for a lack of space. The exact same functions work on a Win98 machine running the same app hitting the same database. I'm wondering, has anyone else seen "Insufficient Disk Space" errors show up when there clearly is enough space? Is it related to the VM settings in XP? The BDE Admin settings are the default ones that get set when the BDE gets installed. Any suggestions would be great! Thanks Kelly |
