mime(base64) decoding a string

hello

i'm looking for a routine with which i can mime(base64) - decode a string.
does someone know where i can get such a routine ?

We have a file encoding/decoding DLL that we distribute with our free
SocketWrench package (it allows you to encode and decode using either
the uuencode or base64 algorithms). You can download the package from
our website at http://www.catalyst.com.
