Help with Paradox errors on network !!!URGENT!!!

Hi , all

I have 3 applications on a network which use the same databases. I connect
to paradox
tables with the BDE. About every day the PC's which are using the Databases
with the 3 applications hangs. We must then Ctrl-Alt-Del to shut down the
Application. Also, there happen alot of index out of dates.

The errors a just so much. I've tried everything in the applications
listening to the borland FAQ's and advice. I thing its the network that
causes it.

I can deal with the indexes out of date, but please help with the{*word*154}
of the machines.

I doubt there is enuf info here for anyone to
give much help. Using Ctrl-Alt-Del to shut down the
 Application would mess up the indexes, so the index
problem is an effect, not a cause.   What network are
you using.  Is local share set to true?  Does the same
machine always hang up? Any error message before
the hang?  Could there be a problem in the code like
an endless loop which looks like a hang but is really
a logic problem?  If you think it is the network, switch
out cables and network cards.

Are you sure that you have the BDE on _every_ machine configured as
described in TI247B? Are all of the apps 32 bit apps?

Are you on Novell or NT Server
If you are on NT you will need to set LocalShare to true on all PCs.
I am running by applications on a network for several years now without
major problems.
