Interbase 4.0 (Delphi 1.02 -> Delphi 3.0)

Dear reader.

I'm developing programs in Delphi 1.02 (Win 3.1) using Interbase 4.0
on a Novell 3.12 server.
Now i'm trying to connect to my databases though Delphi 3.0 (Win 95)
on the same server without any luck.
When i try to login using the "InterBase Server Manager" i receive the
following error :

"The requested server is an unsupported version. Server Manager can
only connect to server versions 4.0 or later"

Can anyone help ?
