Access to Sybase from Delphi 1.02?

It seems we are going to (try to) update our database (with Paradox
tables) from a remote Sybase db running on a *nix box.  This would
appear to be the client/server model.

At my disposal I have these tools:
- Delphi 1.02 ("regular" version, not c/s);
- Borland C++ 4.52 with database tools;
- Paradox for Windows 5.0.

My questions are these:
1. Do I have the necessary tools to connect via tcp/ip to the
   Sybase backend on the unix host?  Will Delphi handle this on
   its own, or are there additional pieces required?  If more
   tools are needed (eg, ODBC), where can they be obtained?
2. I haven't got all the details yet--it seems the Sybase is
   v 10 but it could soon be 11.  Any problems there?

Thanks in advance for your help.

PS: Delphi 2.0 isn't quite yet an option for me.
