All,

I just moved to a temporary worksite and am trying to find a machine delphi
2.01 cs will run on. The three machines I have tried so far have done this:

1st machine bsod's on starting delphi cs 2.01 requiring a reboot;
2nd and 3rd machines throw external exceptions while debugging the app.

...none of this happens at my regular site, where I have installed
everything a number of times...is this a case of dll conflicts, or...???

I need to know more information about your system and what you are doing:

What's your operating system?
What is your HD space? Is this a compressed HD? Have you recently scanned for
any errors on it?
What version of I.E. do you have?
Do you have any other Borland products installed on your machine?
What version of Delphi do you have?
What edition of Delphi do you have (i.e., Client/Server or Professional or
Standard)?
What type of installation did you do? What was custom about it (if anything)?
Did you get any error or warning messages during installation?
Are you able to run a blank form?
Can you load and run our Demo Apps. successfully?
Exactly, what sequence(s) of events raise the error(s)?

Okay...this was partially my fault. The second two machines were dependent
on dynamic data that I forgot to build. Scratch those.

Also, I noticed that a lot of answers from borland talk about the video
driver. I changed the video driver on the bsod machine from "Hercules
Graphics Terminator" to "S3 Trio64???" and it doesn't bsod anymore!!
