<cough!><cough!>Well, yes. Sort of. ;-)
OTOH if you demand your customers have a dual Xeon with XP Pro and 2Gigs
of
memory, then shipping the software on CD only is like asking for a Hummer
buth with 10" wheels.
LOL!

Most big companies use (or should use) some kind of software distribution
(SMS, CCM, whatever) to stage the PCs and are more than frustrated if a
software product refuses to be installed a) unattendely and b) from a
server share instead of from the original media.
No disagreement. I was just pointing out Borland's possible concerns (not
that I'd really know). In a lot of corporate setups, it is not always
logic or technical truths that sway buying decisions. If the guy in charge
of the buying decision is far enough away from the install experience then
he could care less what those silly programmers and IT donuts have to go
through. He wants his cool cost justification. "Must be great! It needs 2
gigs of ram just to do the splash!". On the other hand, "Can be installed
from DVD" just doesn't impress the other VP's much. <g>
