Grid with subset (grid) feature

Standard TDBGrid support the nested grids. This is not look same as in MS
Access (like tree) but when you'll click in cell, a new dropdowned grid is
displayed with detail records.

Why not use this standard behaviour? - check a demo in DEMOS folder...

Re:Grid with subset (grid) feature

Delphi\Demos\ADO\Shape

Just scroll a grid with customers to end and you'll see an Orders column.
Click on cell and you'll receive a grid with orders for this customer.

Same behaviour allow any grid that is inherited from TDBGrid. For example,
my freeware TSMDBGrid: http://www.scalabium.com/smdbgrid.htm

Re:Grid with subset (grid) feature

Hi Roland,

When using JfControls, a dbgrid can be placed on a popup window linked to a
column of the main grid without problems whatsoever, althoug our components
also allow a whole world of things more.
You could want to download our JfControls Grid demo program from
http://www.jfactivesoft.com/endowndemos.htm, just to take a look and check
it out.

Anyway, if you need further details or have any kind of doubt, don't
hesitate to contact us by email at any moment.

Best wishes,

Re:Grid with subset (grid) feature

Hi:

Is there any component available to display both master table and detail
table as subset in Grid component like Access 2000 grid?

Thanks

Re:Grid with subset (grid) feature

Thank Mike:

That's only worked for ADO, I guess.

Re:Grid with subset (grid) feature

I think that this feature must work with any Master-Detail relation for any
engine, not only ADO...
