possible to use an individual workflow without individual APEs?2005-10-12 03:43:41 AM off-topic3 Good evening! I use StarTeam 2005 Enterprise Advantage and would like to define that one specific person always gets a mail-message if the status e.g. of a requirement changes. Therefore I want to use the Notification Agent of the StarTeam extensions. In order to specify the person that gets the mail-message if the status of a requirement changes I think it is necessary to design individual workflows with the workflow designer. Am I right? If yes, is it possible to use an individual workflow with the STANDARD APEs? If no, why? Thanks in advice, Guenther |

You can get it done with only workflow and no APE mods.

Re:possible to use an individual workflow without individual APEs?
Hello!
I have tried to use an individual workflow and individual APEs (sample APEs for CR). Now the right notification messages that are specified in the workflow are sent. Afterwards I have unchecked the individual APEs in the Project Properties and it comes that the right notification messages are no more sent and even my individual workflow is no more used. Please, how can it be done with only workflow and no APE mods? How can I use my individual workflow without APE mods? Thanks in advice, Guenther "David Hegland" < XXXX@XXXXX.COM >schrieb im Newsbeitrag QuoteYou can get it done with only workflow and no APE mods. {smallsort} |

You say you unchecked the APE checkbox. That is the reason that you do not
see your custom workflow statuses. To use the custom workflow, you must use an APE. When I said "no APE mods" I meant that you can use the sample APE provided without modification. This is because you define the email recipients in the workflow, and the standard APE will follow whatever workflow you define, so you need not modify it, but you DO have to use it.
