Re:Re: QC# 11227 needs to be opened.
Nooo.
Class completion>Speedometer.. Delphi Objects>car.. Delphi Objects supports inherited getters and setters. Borland also informs about that. Class completion does not support this, and Borland does not inform that is doesnt. And since Delphi Objects support it, class completion should also support it. If not, it's like a car that is designed to go 200 km/h, but has a speedometer that does not support it. Still they do not inform that this speedometer does not support it, and they inform that the car is designed to go 200 km/h.. Pjuh... -Atle |

Guys, you're geeting ridiculous here. It's quite clear that if
ObjectPascal supports inherited getters and setters then class completions should also support it. What you're bickering about is whether this is to be called a bug report or an enhancement request or perhaps even a documentation error. Come on! The important thing is to get class completion to support inherited getters and setters. Who gives a **** what the request is called? It's quite clear that if property MyX: Integer; it will turn this into: property MyX: Integer read FMyX write SetMyX; even if you wanted to have a getter function as well. The fact that it doesn't consider inherited getters or setters, but creates new ones is such an assumption as well. Since it hardly ever happens, I don't think it will ever be adjusted. -- Rudy Velthuis [TeamB] rvelthuis.bei.t-online.de "The true measure of a man is how he treats someone who can do him absolutely no good." - Samuel Johnson (1709-1784) |

Let's conclude that it needs more settings. Not only the "Finish incomplete
properties" Please open this report, so Borland can make the decition on this. -Atle |
