Featues Unavalable

ST 5.4 Home Edition comes with Delphi 8
I am getting this message on the first project I am creating
"These features are unavailable because thy are not currently supported on
the server where this project resides.
Audit Component
Change Request Component
File Component
StarDisk and
Topic Component"
Is this because of the edition I have, the installation or Configuration?
Meanwhile although I can see my directory structure I cannoy see any files
TIA
Ephraim

Re:Featues Unavalable

This means that your evaluation license has expired. If you wish to
continue using you must license the server using an active license key

Note that if you have D8 *Enterprise* you should already have a
non-trial license. With D8 Pro you probably don't get one.

Re:Featues Unavalable

I do have D8 Ent. So it is surprising I get this message.
The card that came with D8 has three "Keys/Codes"
Serial No
Client Adtivation Key and
Access Key
In an attemp to get StarTeanm to work I deleted the Client Activation Key
(via the Client>>Abount>>Info) and re-entered it to no avail. The Server is
running and I created a project I just do not get the views.
This software is fully licenced I have just never got round to using it
before, nor do I wish to spend $1500.00 on D2005 yet.
Any other ideas
Many thanks

You should have a single user license. Remove your server's trial
license so that only the single user license remains. IIRC this is on
the about box of Server Administrator.

Re:Featues Unavalable

I might be making progress.
The Server Administration tool has a Lucense Usage button. I presume this is
where I add in the Server License.
When I click on this button I am prompted for the Administrator Password.
After Login I get the following message
Please contact Borland Software Corp. with the following license file. I am
not given the oppertiunity to put my license info in.
Furthermore the About button has no option for the license info as does the
StarTeam Client.
I tried a re-install to no avail. Having uninstall the Client Server MSDE
and having deleted any residual files/directories the OS still new my client
activation key.
I do not seem to be able to use the Accesskey/Serial No
TIA

Re:Featues Unavalable

Thanks, I solved it.
Server Tools Abount Button, was hidden by my task bar as I am running at
800x600 since I have a visual impediment.
Server is now licensed and all looks okay (for the time being)
Thanks again for the help

Yes, there's a QC entry about the size of this form. You might want to
vote for it if you have any StarTeam QC votes to spare, as it's still
not fixed in 2005. You can drag the form up to make the buttons
visible, but it's irritating, I agree.
