Borland Pascal 7 under Win982004-07-02 09:12:28 PM off-topic2 Hi, Im trying to install BP7 under win98 SE but the install program halts upon start with the message Could not read file e:\bp\bin\tddebug.386, C>ontinune or A>bot ? I think it is the first file it tries to unzip. I created a FAT16 partition and im reading the installation files and installing there. Any hints ? Regards, Luciano |

Re:Borland Pascal 7 under Win98
You shouldn't need to use the FAT16 partition, I have version 7 running on
XP without any problems (other than needing to update the compiler for the div/0 error) sounds like a bad disk. maybe try cleaning the disk or the drive? "Luciano Eicke" < XXXX@XXXXX.COM >wrote in message QuoteHi, |

QuoteHi, directory on the harddisk, and run the installation from there. After installation you will probably have to install a fix for the RTE 200 bug. See the mini FAQ posted by Robert AH Prins for a solution. |

Re:Borland Pascal 7 under Win98
problem turned out to be in the installation disks, not the target
directory. i had to copy disk contents to a temporary folder and wait till the program asked for the next disk, then copy its contents to the temp folder and so on. ty! "Femme Verbeek" <fv2003 [at] {*word*104}jet [dot] nl>wrote in message Quote
