Who made the choice in conference dates?

Just curious, who made the choice in conference dates? I have a 4 year old,
so Halloween ranks up there with his birthday and Christmas. Let's see,
spend a night with Buzz Lightyear or attend the Saturday tutorials? Am I
the only parent who thought Nov. 1 was a bad date to choice?

Re:Who made the choice in conference dates?

I agree. I have children as well.

Oddly, it seems it wasn't Dale Fuller. He wished his wife "Happy
Anniversary" at last night's opening session.

Re:Who made the choice in conference dates?

This year was unusual since it was the anniversary of Borland's founding.

Probably not appropriate as they are significantly constrained by the
venues about when conferences can be. Interesting that they haven't yet
decided about next year - it's normally announced at the end of each
conference.

I believe the decision had something to do with hotel space they
needed a hotel to be finished being built to have enough space for
attendees and staff. According to an informal talk with Dale after
the conference it will be around summer time next year.

Re:Who made the choice in conference dates?

While I, too, have kids in school, my main objection to the choice of dates is that I'm still working full=time as a teacher. My software is currrently licensed in 21 schools, but that doesn't support me, yet. I need June/July dates to make
a conference.

Re:Who made the choice in conference dates?

Unfortunately, Halloween is more important than elections to most. Now as to
which is scarier ..... :c)
