using the bde on a pc with a user who is not in admin group2003-10-22 11:42:49 PM off-topic9 Has anyone run accross difficulty reading the parameters of the bde when logged in as a user who doesn't have admin rights to the pc? I am getting alias not found or invalid when the line Session.GetAliasParams(aliasname, mystringlist) it all works fine if the user has admin rights. |

Re:using the bde on a pc with a user who is not in admin group
it is Win2000 and that is correct. the user by definition of not being in
the admin group wouldn't have access to the HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE registry key. by the way i am testing this on my pc with an account setup without admin rights. "Bill Todd" < XXXX@XXXXX.COM >wrote in message QuoteOn Wed, 22 Oct 2003 11:42:49 -0400, "Jim" < XXXX@XXXXX.COM > |
